Introduction:

Welcome to the User Guide for Automated MCI Report Retrieval via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol). This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you retrieve MCI (Marketplace Comparison Insights) reports conveniently and efficiently from an SFTP server hosted by Engine by ML.

Automated Retrieval Option:

As an alternative to manually downloading these reports from Control Center, partners now have the option to automatically retrieve MCI Reports from an SFTP server hosted by Engine by ML. This enhancement streamlines the process and allows for immediate ingestion of reports into your systems.

Advantages of SFTP Option:

The SFTP option offers partners enhanced convenience and efficiency in retrieving MCI Reports, making reporting processes smoother and more streamlined.

Enabling Automated Delivery:

To enable automated retrieval of your MCI Reports, you'll need to provide us with a public SSH RSA key. This key will ensure secure access to your files once your username is set by the Engine team.

Accessing MCI Reports via SFTP:

Step 1: Install an SFTP Client:

Make sure you have an SFTP Client installed on your system. Some recommended options are:

Step 2: Connect to the SFTP Server:

  • Host/Server: mci-reports.engine.tech

  • Username: [Will be provided by Engine]

  • SSH RSA Key: [The one you generate and send the public key to Engine]

  • Port: 22

NOTE: Your assigned username and your provided RSA key will grant you access to your files without requiring a password. You will use the details provided above with your private RSA key to connect to the server. When you generate RSA key, the public key is provided to Engine and private key along with username is used to connect to the server.

Retrieve Your Reports:

Once connected to the SFTP server, you will find your MCI Reports organized into two folders - Offers and Rejections. Each specific report will be available in its respective folder, facilitating easy retrieval.

Troubleshooting and Support:

If you encounter difficulties during the setup process or have questions, please feel free to contact us at partner.support@engine.tech or reach out directly to your Partner Manager.

By following these steps, you'll be able to leverage the SFTP option for automated retrieval of your MCI Reports, saving time, and ensuring seamless integration with your systems.
