# \[Alpha] Offer Search API

## Overview

The Offer Searches API is the modern way to request personalized offers from Engine across every product vertical (personal loans, credit cards, savings, and more). It is the successor to the RateTables API, with a cleaner, versioned contract and a single consistent shape for requesting and retrieving offers.

An offer search runs in two steps:

1. **Create a search.** `POST /offerSearches` with the applicant and product criteria. Engine begins matching offers from the catalog and returns an `OfferSearch` UUID immediately.
2. **Retrieve results.** `GET /offerSearches/{uuid}` returns the offers as they resolve, so you can render them as soon as they are available.
